Argan Oil, The Skin Care Miracle

Argan Oil, The Skin Care Miracle

There”s a certain oil finding its way from Morocco and into the beauty products you are using these days. What has started out as a low hum has now erupted into a full blown chatter–everyone is talking about the amazing properties of Argan Oil. Just as Ojon nuts produce the hair”s elixir in the rainforest, oil from the Argan nuts have gained momentum as "Liquid Gold" for the skin.

There are two beauty brands that I am familiar with who use Argan Oil as an ingredient in their products. Kaeline Argatherapie and Solessence. Argan Oil is the heart of Kaeline”s products and Solessence uses the potent oil in their skin care set. So far I have only ever used Kaeline”s products with amazing results.

Some of the benefits of Argan Oil are:

* Hydrates the skin while neutralizing free radicals.

* Reduces active blemishes and visible scars.

* Revitalizes and improves the skin”s elasticity.

* Relives symptoms of eczema and psoriasis

* Reduces redness

Argan oil is also good for use in your hair and on your nails; it”s even been said to help soothe rheumatism and arthritis pain. Argan Oil is virtually scentless and is not greasy as one would expect when you think of a typical oil. It”s great for all skin types and will help heal acne, not cause it. Believe me, I was skeptical myself, until I tried it and haven”t stopped using it since.

Have you used Argan Oil yourself? I”d love to hear how it worked for you.

Exercise and Acne

When looking for handy ways to cure acne the first thing on your list must be exercise. It can be a great help to you to avoid as well as cure the acne on your skin. Exercise helps by balancing the negative effects of stress in your body. When you exercise your body burns calories as well as reduces the level of testosterone.

However one thing that you must keep in mind is that the sweat that you shed while exercising can also cause harm to your skin. Keep your skin clean by washing it before and after exercising. Also when you are exercising you must also let the pores on your skin breathe. Remember you are exercising to open up your pores and free them from the deposition of extra oil. Hence, never exercise with something applied on your face. Always clean make up by a cleanser before exercising and after as well.

Use soap and water to wash the acne prone areas or you can even use medicated wipes to cleanse them. Remember to pay extra attention to these areas so that the problem does not increase instead of getting better.

Acne in Babies

If you thought that acne is only a teenage problem then will be surprised to know that even babies suffer from acne. It is seen in the form of small red bumps on the face of the baby, mostly gathered around the chin, cheeks and forehead. Usually babies between 3 to 4 weeks of age have this kind of acne.

The reason behind this is the crossing of the mother’s hormone during pregnancy and also during nursing. These hormones are crucial for a child for its lung maturation and they also stimulate its oil glands. This stimulation of oil in the baby’s body causes acne.

Baby acne usually clears up by the age of 6 months. after this period acne only returns when your child becomes a teenager. In case this does not happen and the acne does not leave even after 6 months you must consult the doctor for some medication. However before that there is no need as such to give harsh medications or apply lotions ob your child since it skin is very soft and might get damaged due to the medication.

However, you must make sure with your doctor once that the baby does have acne and not some skin allergy or infection.

How Can We Prevent Acne Scars

First and foremost, we must remember that acne is bound to leave a scar, and a worse one if it is plucked. So to prevent a worse mark from appearing and remaining, we should keep our hands off our acne. now as we already know that acne is very subjective, its is good to keep in mind that its effects are very subjective too. One cannot say for sure whether this person will have an acne or not or whether this acne will leave a mark or no or for that matter how long will the scar stay. It has been seen in some cases that the most acne prone skin are the ones that are left without one single blemish in a matter of time. But it is not simple or even possible to tell which treatment of acne will prevent scars successfully.

The only (almost) foolproof method to prevent acne from leaving scars is to treat them early, before the case worsens. The treatment should be continued for as long as it seems essential. If the treatment can moderate the inflammation, the chances of scars is also reduced. Whatever said and done, any person with acne and scars prone skin type must visit the dermatologist early for better and more effective treatment.

Role of a Dermatologist

When it comes to acne, we deal with excess. Excess of skin types, reasons for occurrence of acne, forms of acne, treatment options available, age of the sufferer and their lifestyle. With so many factors co-existing, it is always recommended to go to a specialist to deal with acne. A skin specialist is called a dermatologist, originating from dermis, meaning skin. Since a dermatologist specializes in the field, he has a better sense of your situation. He can juxtapose all the above mentioned factors and suggest the best possible treatment. All the above information, if provided to him accurately, he can give individualized treatment options to different patients that will treat the existing acne and also prevent future lesions from forming.

For personalized treatment, a dermatologist gives various options, combining many drugs to be used at once. It is possible that he gives two medicines, one to be used in the morning and the other to be used at night. But when it comes to combining medicines, it should not be experimented by oneself lest it may lead to disastrous side effects. While treatment is on, one should resist the temptation of using fancy anti acne stuff available in the market. An early treatment is always recommended.
